Description: This is a rare set of stacking ashtrays with the caddy holder designed and made by Richard Rohac. We purchased this set as part of a large cache of signed Auböck pieces from a single estate source. We also purchased a number of Hagenauer and other Rohac works from this same estate. Clearly this collector was interested in Austrian brass modern design. This set is similar to also to a stacking set of round Auböck ashtrays, and almost of the same quality at a fraction of the price. The base of the caddy is marked with the Rohac cypher as seen in the photo, and the ashtrays are unmarked. We found a photo of the cover of Rohac's catalog showing this model, as well as page from the catalog with this model and another page of his catalog with other similar examples he produced.
