Description: Here is a great pair of art deco machine age period bookends produced by ALCOA as give-away promotional items. Our research indicates that these and other ALCOA give-away promotional items were often just for ALCOA employees and given away during company picnics and other events. These are early and we checked the ALCOA website, which provides a complete history of their company logos. These date to the 1930s or early 1940s at the latest. Also the black vitrine glass was a product not used commercially after this period.
Condition: Very good with a couple of very small flea bites on one bookend.
