Description: Vintage pair of Los Castillo weighted copper angel candleholders probably designed by famed Mexican silversmith Salvador Teran. Teran is best known for his designs that incorporate imbedded glass tiles and his modernist silver jewelry. According to the book The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks by Bille Hougart it states that "Most of the items marked Cobre Artistico were probably designed by Salvador Teran". Marked on bottom Cobre Artistico Made in Mexico (in a circle around the initials CC and Taxco); Los Castillo Taxco and Handwrought.
