Description: Here is a great long box with a gorgeous stained glass lid by American firm Libby-Pratt Studio from Cedarville, Massachusetts. Only limited information is available about the firm. What we have been able to learn is they produced a limited line of fine home furnishing objects, such as boxes, lamps, and bookends using a patented layered mosaic of cathedral and antique stained glass decorative surfaces. The quality of their objects is high. They used fine hardwoods such as walnut and teak, and then applied their stained glass surface. The firm obtained a patent for their glass surface process in 1962.
