Description:  A terrific modernist interpretation for a chess set.  Extruded aluminum pieces in walnut case with blue plexiglass cover.  The pieces are differentiated by a brown finish to the outside edge for one player or plain aluminum for the other player. This is the smaller of the two versions of chess sets designed by Cox, and the more difficult to find.  Display case is designed for wall mounting.  Some sets of this design we have seen have the pieces marked on the bottoms with the copyright date of 1966.  However, these pieces were never marked and are like new.
