Description: An important and hard-to-find design by Richard Meier for Swid Powell and produced by Reed & Barton. Meier designed a few versions of servers for his flatware that were produced by Reed & Barton. The drawings and photographs of these are on Meier’s website. In our humble opinion, this is the greatest of his flatware designs and of all the Swid Powell serving pieces produced by the various different designers for Swid Powell. Meier’s designs for Swid Powell can be found in many major museum collections. This design is in the Yale University Art Gallery. An important addition to any collection of post modern American design objects.
