Description: This is a heavy weight and well made famous design by Sabattini, sometimes attributed to Gio Pointi. It is marked Sabattini, Italy. In 1964 after leaving Christofle, Sabattini opened a studio in in Bregnano, Italy. The limited editions of Sabattini designs produced by his Argenteria Sabattini firm have become highly coveted by connoisseurs. This set came directly from the family that purchased it in the 1960s. Despite the many years of loving use and the noticeable wear this set has seen, it still presents very well and is a highly sought after design.
