Description: Here is a great space age modernist pencil holder desk accessory in case aluminum. Designed to hold both writing implements, but also letters or papers. Pierre Vandel was born in 1939 in Roubaix in France. He received his college degree in industrial design, after which he joined the design office of Ponts et Chaussées and studied at the CNAM (Arts and Crafts). He is known for his 1970s designs of stereo equipment, side tables, shelving units, lighting and other furniture. In 1969 he founded his brand Pierre Vandel-Paris.
Condition: Very good. A minor bruise on the rear of the bottom right edge as shown in second photo and bottom scratches from use, otherwise excellent.
