Description: These elegant and curvaceous pair of brass candlesticks were manufactured and retailed by Illums Bolighus in Denmark.  We are unsure of the designer, but have seen others attributed to Carl Aubock, but with no conclusive proof that these are his.  We have seen some very similar candlesticks in the archives by Aubock, but not exactly the same.  However, there are several documented brass objects designed and made by Aubock that were also made for retail by Illums Bolighus and can be found in period Illums Bolighus catalogs, such as ashtrays, lamps and magazine holders, but which bear no Aubock marks.  These candlesticks are marked with the impressed Made in Denmark stamp on the underside of each. Regardless of who designed them, these are fine objects in their own right and would grace any modern home.  Plus they are a fraction of what documented and marked Aubock candlesticks would cost.
