Description: Here is a rare poly-glyph puzzle of a Yin Yang symbol by the noted American Studio wood artist Igor Givotovsky from Massachusetts. Givotovsky’s puzzles were produced from the late 1970s through the 1980s and are hard to find found because not many were made, and those who have them don’t often let them go. This is one of his smaller and simpler designs, but is a graceful piece that would enhance the decor of any modern home. Some of his other puzzles are very intricate with many parts.

From about 1976 to 1985 his work was starting to become better known through articles in the Craft Horizons magazine and other periodicals that were following the American Craft movement and its designs and his regular gallery shows. In 1985 the Los Angeles Times reviewed a gallery exhibition which featuring his work. His work has been collected by celebrities such as William Nelson, George Harrison and David Brenner.
