Dimensions: 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”
Description: Here is another important design for Swid Powell by the Haussmann’s. These candlesticks are very heavy and well made and despite their short stature they have a commanding presence. These are also getting harder to find, probably due to their high cost when first retailed and limited production. These can be found in the Yale University Art Gallery. Marked on bottom Swid Powell Made in Italy and with the Haussmann’s monogram.
Condition: Very good. One has two very minor dings in the top edge that are hard to see, and both have persistent tarnish to the undersides of each edge due to the design, and polishing marks on the bases. They are hard to polish in the grooves, but the tarnish is removable. They present very well.
