Description: An amazing and very rare patinated and polished brass match safe/ashtray in two pieces.  Fantastic modern design.  The matches are stored within the bottom footed section to keep them dry, and the top serves as the striker.  Either the top or bottom can also be used as an ashtray.  Very heavy and beautifully constructed, this has the “wHw”, “Made in Vienna Austria” and “Hagenauer Wien” markings as shown in the photo.  We have never seen another like it, and we have been looking for quite some time.
