Condition: Excellent, with a few very light scratches and smudges. The dark sections in upper portion of the images are shadows for contrast as highly polished stainless steel can be difficult to photograph.
Description: Here is an outstanding piece of pop art sculpture by American artist Gary Kahle. Signed and dated as photographed.
Kahle was born in Oklahoma and worked for 16 years as a steel fabricator at an aircraft service shop. In 1981 he decided to devote himself to just making fine art sculpture, primarily in polished stainless steel. He has been commissioned for many large outdoor sculptures across the United States including by theUniversity of Kansas and the Trust Company of Kansas. His work has been exhibited at the National Academy of Design and the North American Sculpture Exhibition. This is the only small tabletop work we have ever seen of his.
