Condition: Mint in original box with original insert. The top of the trivet has some light marks from sliding around in its box, but this an unused piece.

Description:  Here is another of the Richard Meier’s designs in the King Richard style, this time as a trivet or hot plate.  There are no images of the product in the Swid Powell catalogs or the Annette Tapert book so we believe it may have been limited in its production or popularity. And although we have handled and seen a few other examples, this is the only one we have seen in mint condition as their purpose predicts scratches and dents from table use.  This is an amazing survivor with its box and insert and it’s unlikely another in this condition will surface in the marketplace anytime soon.
