Description: Here is a remarkably modern pipe rest or pipe stand designed by Richard Rohac. This example is not marked, but we guarantee it is his work because we have seen marked examples of this model and it can be found in one of Rohac’s catalogs. Additionally, the the construction and finishes used are textbook Rohac. We have seen this design being sold as Carl Aubock for high prices, but it is not.
Rohac was a master metal craftsman who began and completed his apprenticeship with the Werkstatte Hagenauer in Vienna, Austria as a teenager and stayed with the workshop another nine years before opening his own metalwork business in 1932. His works are very high quality design and construction.
