Description: Here is a pair of highly stylized bowls or possibly ashtrays each with three very art deco elephants used for the base. These are marked with Rohac’s distinct arched “Made in Austria” mark on the feet of the elephants, but they do not have his reverse Rs mark. It looks like there simply was not enough room on the feet for the Rohac reverse Rs mark. However, we have seen an example of this bowl where the Rohac reverse Rs were present and that bowl was exactly the same as these. Additionally, the elephants are stylistically the same as other Rohac elephants we have seen produced as individual works or attached to other fully signed objects. Very well made with a gorgeous original smooth glossy patina and finish and guaranteed to be by Rohac. Priced for the pair. We have seen single examples selling for over $450.
