Description: Here is classic Fornasetti 200 Ultime Notizie glove or trinket box with the “Latest News” newsprint decoration with two butterflies in color.  The 200 series are the shorter examples, and the 300 series are the longer versions. This example was made in 2006 and is numbered 5, from an unknown edition size, but these were only produced in very small numbers as each one is painted, printed and lacquered by hand. Retaining its original paper label on the bottom as shown. Although Fornasetti still produces glove boxes, this design is no longer in production. The handful of used examples of this design that we have seen come to market are of much more recent manufacture and bring relatively high prices. Considering that this model is no longer made and will soon technically be considered a “vintage” item, we believe this is a good buying opportunity at this price.
