Description: Here is a small sized beautiful Shoemaker lidded box with a diamond pattern parquet inlaid lid made of Cocobolo and Rosewood.  The lid for this box is not hinged and comes off as shown.  The quality of construction on the Shoemaker’s boxes is excellent.  This example lost its original Shoemaker label, but we guarantee it is an authentic period Shoemaker work.  Shoemaker’s work is becoming highly sought after for its excellent design, gorgeous woods and quality craftsmanship. We are very fond of his tabletop objects such as his boxes, trays and candlesticks.
