Description: Here is a rarely found pair of important serving spoons designed by Jens Quistgaard probably in about 1966. According to various references found on the Internet, these were apparently designed to accompany his various stainless flatware services from the period. Some Internet sources also cite the design dating to the 1950s, but we have been unable to verify such claims. But there are no flatware designs by Dansk that have these handles, so they are a unique design in themselves. The handles are either Rosewood or Palisander as shown by the beauty of the open grain. The design of this spoon allows the raised middle of the handle to stay on the edge of a serving bowl without slipping in. Marked with the correct impressed marks as show on the verso of the bowl.
