Description: Here is a pair of terrific small brutalist bronze sculptures of abstracted figures we are attributing to the American sculptor Abbott Pattison. These are unmarked, but are strikingly similar to some other small brutalist bronzes we have seen by Pattison, who had a distinctive brutalist style to some of his bronzes. If these were not done by him, then they were likely done by either a student of his or someone heavily influenced by him. These are extremely well made of cast solid bronze with a warm dark patina. They appear to be unique pieces made using the lost wax method of casting. They are quite heavy for their size, with the larger one weighing in at 3.10 pounds and the smaller one weighing in at 1.9 pounds. These are priced accordingly, because we have not been able to firmly ascribe authorship to Pattison. But a simple Google search on his smaller works will demonstrate the basis for our attribution.
